Sunbeam Sewing Machine Reviews

Posted on Updated on

I bet if you were shopping for sewing machines and had a really tight budget, you must have come across a few Sunbeam sewing machines that were in your price range. Despite not having the fame of well established brands like Singer and Brother, due to their affordable pricing, Sunbeam has built a steady client base.

I have tested a several sewing machines from Sunbeam and honestly, I noticed these sewing machines though not as popular as Brother and Singer still did an amazing job for what they costed. To be honest, they were still nowhere near the Brother or Singer sewing machines. Sunbeam may have other strong points but being a new player in the market, they needs to step up its game to ensure it stands a chance to be on par with the competition put out by more recognized brands.

However not all of Sunbeam sewing machines fall short. There were a couple of Sunbeam sewing machines that really did impress me. Surprisingly, when it came to handheld sewing machines, Sunbeam even outperformed Singer. Secondly, the Sunbeam compact sewing machine also made quite a splash. Most brands like Brother and Singer tend to focus more on computerized and full scaled sewing machines. This may be why the newcomer Sunbeam performed better against more recognized brands when it came to compact smaller models.

Sunbeam Compact SB-1800

sunbeam sb-1800If you are a beginner looking for a portable sewing machine that costs close to nothing, this Sunbeam sewing machine is something worth taking a look at. Thanks to a compact design and various common stitches the SB-1800 would be a perfect companion for beginners who attend sewing classes.

Generally, after a few months, a new seamster or seamstress would outgrow their first sewing machine and by then you’ll surely know if you want a fully computerized sewing machine or prefer a machine that is capable of embroidery and quilting. So the SB 1800 is a reasonably priced machine that would surely provide more than enough exposure to anyone.

The automatic threader is also an excellent feature that would be a great help to any newcomer. I remember when I used to be so flustered trying to thread my first sewing machine. Thankfully, the SB-1800 has a really simplistic threading system that is too simple to use. I am assured you’ll master threading using this machine in no time.

This compact Sunbeam sewing machine also comes with a hand lever and a detachable foot pedal. So despite being smaller in size, thanks to the features you’ll still learn a lot about sewing using this machine. Get more information here.

Sunbeam SB-022 Handheld Sewing Machine

sunbeam sb-022This Sunbeam sewing machine is the ultimate solution for wardrobe malfunctions. I don’t think everyone needs a large sewing machine with a stepper and complex features, for the occasional rip or tear. Either due to wear and tear or due to bad workmanship, wardrobe malfunctions are bound to happen. This handheld sewing machine is a nifty tool that can solve all your problems in a jiffy.

This Sunbeam sewing machine is small. I would have never imagined the day when I could actually slip a mini sewing machine in my purse and thanks to this, I’m ready for anything that may happen.

Thanks to its simplicity, the Sunbeam SB-022 sewing machine allows me to do my patch work or fix buttons whenever I’m doing my laundry. Though, this handheld sewing machine doesn’t work well with thicker fabric like denim. It really isn’t strong enough to penetrate such fibrous material. Get more information here.

Once I started using my Brother CS6000I, quilting was never the same again. The features that the CS6000I came with made quilting even more fun and easy to do. The foot control and the adjustable speed settings also make quilting a breeze. All I had to do was position the needle then let the machine do the work. Preparing the machine for quilting took little to no time at all. Brother added a jam-resistant top drop in bobbin that also avoided the hassle of having to manually looking for the thread of a stuck bobbin.

The one step automatic buttonholer had seven styles that you could choose from. This would mean you’d even be able to select different styles for how you sew your buttonholes. To top all of these features off, the 25 year limited warranty does really impress me. I’d surely be investing in a worthy sewing machine if the manufacturers would be able to cover the Brother CS6000I for 25 years.

While reading up on the descriptions and features of the machine before I ordered it from Amazon, I was truly impressed and was prepared for a much heavier piece of machinery. Michley Sewing Machine Reviews

Posted on Updated on

Michley has been in the electronics industry for quite some time. Ever since 2005, Michley Tivax has been producing portable TVs, sewing machines and tablets. Michley sewing machines are something to keep your eye out for. If you’re looking for a reliable sewing machine for a beginner and don’t want to break your bank doing it, take a look at the Michley sewing machine lineup.

Great For A Tight Budget

I wasn’t that sure how Michley sewing machines would perform compared to more recognized brands like Singer and Brother, but ever since I tried my first Michley model, I had no regrets. Thanks to the low price of Michley sewing machines, anyone can now buy a good sewing machine even if they have a tight budget.

Small and Compact

Michley produces portable sewing machines. Even their desktop and electronic sewing machines really have a tiny footprint. Unlike Brother and Singer, Michley doesn’t really have models of sewing machines that would be suitable for experienced seamsters and seamstresses. So if you have been sewing for quite awhile, you’d probably want to skip the Michley sewing machines.

Michley Sewing Machine Reviews

Michley LSS-505 Combo

Michley Lil' Sew & Sew LSS-505 ComboThe LSS-505 combo sewing machine set is a delightful option for beginners. Not only does the combo include everything a beginner might need and a few extra items. The fancy electrical scissors was a nice touch that made sewing a little more fun.
The Michley LSS-505 would surely be able to mend and patch any rip or tear.

But the LSS-505 does not really work well with denim or any sort of thick material. Nevertheless, thanks to its 8 built-in stitches, this sewing machine would also allow any beginner to work on their own personal craft projects and continue to experiment with this sewing machine until they outgrow this Michley sewing machine.

The LSS-505 is also fun to use. Given the wide choices of threads and different stitch patterns to choose from, the LSS-505 is an amazing and inexpensive option for those who would like to try out sewing. Coupled with a $50 price tag, the LSS-505 would be one of my top suggestions as a beginner sewing machine.

Michley Mini LSS-202

Michley LSS-202If the price of the sewing machine is your main concern, the Michley LSS-202 is a sewing machine you should take a look at. It is priced around $20 which is a considerably low price for a sewing machine.

The LSS-202 handles rips and tears splendidly. I took close to no time at all to sew a small rip I found in my son’s soccer pants. This Michley sewing machine is small and light. My experiences with sewing machines like this in the past showed me that lightweight sewing machines don’t play well with thick fabrics. Surprisingly, when it came to the LSS-202 hemming the bottoms of my denim jeans took little to no effort. Well, for once I was glad to be proven wrong.

The other obvious issue I had was the limited work space. Since the LSS-202 was so tiny, it was a little hard angling the fabrics to get my stitches just right.

If you were looking for a sewing machine for the occasional rip and tear in your clothes, the LSS 202 would be a perfect choice. But for crafts and any other form of creative sewing, this won’t be the right choice.

Best Value Sewing Machine – Singer 7442

Posted on Updated on

The Singer 7442 fixes all your wardrobe malfunctions and so much more. Every home needs at least one sewing machine. That would be the only practical thing to do. Accidents can occur anytime, imagine if you found a rip in your favorite party dress just before you were going to a party and didn’t have any time to go to the tailors. The simplest thing to do would be to mend it yourself.
singer 7442
Super Versatile

The Singer 7442 can be used on all type of fabrics. Its gentle enough to handle silk or polyester and can be forceful enough to handle stubborn fabrics like denim and thick velvet.

Super Bargain
stitches
Being priced around the $150 range, the Singer 7442 is a moderately priced sewing machine that has tonnes of features to offer despite of its relatively low price tag. The Singer 7442 is a hardy sewing machine. It’s not the lightest sewing machine I’ve used but it was one that was deserving of some recognition.

Speedy Prepping

The threading and the bobbin systems were amazing. There was an automatic tension adjusting system on the machine. This made the Singer 7442 a lot easier to use on fabrics that had different thickness. The automatic needle threader also ensured I didn’t go cockeyed. It was a breeze threading and preparing the sewing machine it took no time at all and when in a blink I was ready to start sewing whatever I wanted.

Very Sturdy

The sewing machine is sturdy but this means the weight of the components makes the machine weigh even more than other sewing machines in around its price range. So if you’re looking for something portable and a sewing machine that you can move around a lot I wouldn’t recommend this machine.
2
Not Perfect

The Singer 7442 is a lot of things but perfect isn’t one of them. The sewing machine does have its share of shortcomings. There isn’t a drop and sew bobbin feature which means I’d have to pull a little of the thread and use the bobbin case, each time I change the bobbin with is an even more tedious task.

Another thing that bothers me is the needle that doesn’t end in the down position at all, and I couldn’t get it to, even if I tried. This means I couldn’t turn the fabric around mid-stitch as easily as I wanted.

Verdict
top
For just $150, this sewing machine has much to offer the common user. For simple stuff such as minor stitch work, patch jobs and even the hemming of jeans, the Singer 7442 does a splendid job. If you like to sew dresses or crafty cushion covers, you won’t be disappointed with this sewing machine as well.

When I was a young girl, I used to be so impressed with how my mom stitched my first party dress. The mechanical clanking and the needle going up and down on the Singer sewing machine she used just enticed me. The red logo was rather striking on that whitewash machine. I kept on seeing the same brand over and over again every time I visited relatives or went for a sleepover at a friends place. By the time I was 16, my mom gave me her old sewing machine and she picked up a new one.

In 2011, I wanted to get myself a new Singer sewing machine and frankly I was disappointed. The products from this once stellar brand seemed cheap and plasticky. But after a series of complaints and a severe drop in sales, Singer opted to remodel and improve its products. Ever since, Singer has been reclaiming its previous glory.

Singer Fashion Mate Stylist

singer fashion mate stylistWith a 100 programmed stitches, the Stylist has everything you need to let your creativity run wild. This multi-functional Singer sewing machine does it all. Bed sheets, quilts or even party dresses can be sewn using the Stylist. I for one don’t really like the idea of only having presets on a sewing machine. This not only limits my creativity, it means that at a certain point I’ll grow bored of the machine.

Thankfully, the Stylist took the word stylist to a whole new high. I was not only able to fiddle with the width of the stitches, I could actually control the length of each individual stitch too. This is not one of your conventional mechanical sewing machine so depending on your experiences with sewing machines, you may have to fiddle with the machine till you’re used to it. So beginners out there, if you’re looking for a sewing machine where you can just start sewing right off the back, the Stylist probably isn’t what you’re looking for.

There was one annoying flaw about this Singer sewing machine. It gets jammed once in a while. So if you’re intending to use the Stylist in the long run, be prepared to make occasional maintenance and thorough checks so the machine will be your companion for a long long time. Singer Curvy

singer curvyIf you’re just starting out or don’t really have that much experience with sewing machines, the Curvy is the way to go. This Singer sewing machine has 30 built-in stitches which may be the reason why it’s so sought after by consumers everywhere. You don’t really need much skill or experience to use this sewing machine. I found it was easy to sew using this machine. There was one minor inconvenience. This sewing machine didn’t have a “drop & sew” bobbin so reloading the bobbin was a hassle.

Overall, this sturdy metal framed sewing machine is one that is built to last. Not only was sewing relatively simple using this sewing machine, thanks to the various built in stitches, I could explore and let my creativity loose whenever I was working on a project. Get more information here.

Singer 4423

SINGER 4423Once my friend who was a tailor asked me to recommend her a sewing machine that was durable and sturdy enough to be used at her shop I immediately told her about the Singer 4423 sewing machine that I tested some time back.

I used the Singer 4423 for a couple of my daughters dresses and some random patch work.

Truthfully, I was impressed with the precision and accuracy this sewing machine gave me. It didn’t matter if I was using a small piece of fabric or a large sheet of cloth, using the customizable settings and the adjustable three point needle sewing was a breeze. To speed up the sewing process even more, there was even an automatic needle threader and a top drop-in bobbin built into this heavy duty sewing machine.

Working with various materials of different hardness and starchiness isn’t a problem using this Singer sewing machine. As the tension of the thread is adjustable and thanks to the automated presser foot, I know exactly where my stitches would be which is why all my stitches are flawless. All the Singer 4423 sewing machine’s capability makes it a joy to be used by amateurs at homes or professional seamstress at work. Get more information here.

Best Sewing Machine for Kids – Brother XL2600I

Posted on Updated on

I was browsing online looking for a sewing machine for my daughter when I came across the Brother XL2600I. It was affordable and simplistic enough for anyone to learn to use. My daughter loves her doll and I felt using this sewing machine (under my guidance) she’d be able to make luxurious gowns or trendy two-piece dresses.
brotherXL2600I
Made for Crafts and Mini-Projects

I was looking to find a sewing machine that was capable of handling crafts and minor sewing projects and the Brother XL2600I does just that. The XL2600I has 59 stitch functions, 25 built in stitches and a buttonholer that is excellent for crafts. While great for all types of basic sewing, this sewing machine does not come with quilting and embroidery features.
1
Friend of the Thin, Foe of the Thick

I was amazed with how this sewing machine work well for patch jobs too. The one step button holder feature that the machine has also makes it extremely easy to make button holes in the garments you wish to create. I only plan to let my daughter sew on light and less fibrous fabric so the needle on the machine wouldn’t require much force to penetrate the fabric.
3
Bear in mind that this sewing machine isn’t that expensive and it does not come with a foot presser so it’ll be a lot harder for this machine to be used on thick fabric. I nevertheless experimented on a piece of leftover denim fabric and found that the needle barely pierced through. So girls, skip this sewing machine if you plan to work with any type of fabric that is much thicker than cotton or silk.

Speedy Prepping

The automatic threader was also very helpful. Kids these days want everything fast and with this feature, prepping the machine to get it ready for sewing would be a little faster so my little angel would never lose interest. I guess I’ll teach her the boring techniques of sewing a little later.
4
Barely Understandable Instructions

The instruction manual that came with the sewing machine barely made any sense. The illustrations were also horrific. Thankfully, the XL2600I wasn’t that hard to use. It was relatively easy to figure out what went where and how the machine functions. However for newcomers to the sewing world, you may need to refer to a the online manual that is on the official site to get a better picture.
2
Final Say

The XL2600I serves its purpose as a good beginner sewing machine. Unless you plan to use this sewing machine for occasional patch work and simple projects, you’ll outgrow it fast. Someone with more experience and a larger budget may opt for something better with more features so you’ll be able to get more out of your sewing machine. It’s a good sewing machine for kids though, so if you’re getting one for yours, catch the discount for Brother XL2600I here.

Brother Sewing Machine Reviews

Posted on Updated on

Sewing wasn’t that new to me. On the other hand, purchasing a sewing machine was. As a newbie, I was spoiled for choice. There were so many brands in the market. Everyone suggested a different brand of sewing machine for beginners. As I kept researching, and reading up on sewing machines a pattern emerged. Brother sewing machines kept popping up almost everywhere.

I decided to give it a shot and truthfully, it was one of the best decision I’ve ever made. My Brother sewing machine helped me pave my path into sewing. It was durable, reliable and affordable. Sadly I did outgrow it eventually but nevertheless, my experience using my Brother sewing machine was a joy. I then started trying out other models of sewing machines from Brother and here are a few of them which I felt stood out the most.

Brother Sewing Machine Reviews

Brother CS6000i

Brother CS6000i

I absolutely love the precision and accuracy the CS6000i has. Aside from being the top seller on Amazon, this computerized sewing machine is nothing short of being amazing. The CS6000i is not the most portable sewing machine but for the functions and the number of built in stitches it has, I could overlook the slight inconvenience of having a heavier sewing machine.

The CS6000i would also be an amazing sewing machine for commercial use too. The error notifications would indeed save you from any unwanted errors if you have set up the sewing machine wrongly. Thanks to this feature, it’ll be near impossible to damage the fabric you’re going to be sewing on.

Finally, this sewing machine can be used for quilting too. I usually use large fabrics when I quilt. Thankfully, using the large extension table the CS6000i made quilting less of a pain and brought out the fun in it. I didn’t have to keep turning and tilting the fabric to get the stitches right. On the contrary, thanks to the large base, the fabric that I used was held in place perfectly. Read my full review for this best sewing machine for quilting here.

Brother SE400 Combination

Brother SE400

The SE400 is the best sewing machine for embroidery I’ve ever used. Aside from being the top seller on amazon in the embroidery machines category, I honestly feel for someone who wants the best of both worlds, the SE400 really takes the cake. Not only does the SE400 produce beautiful stitches, emblems and monograms, the SE400 works exceptionally as a conventional sewing machine.

The SE400 has 67 different built in stitches and has a real futuristic feel thanks to the LCD display and USB connection port. Thanks to this, you may transfer designs from your computer direct to the SE400 to be embroidered on any piece of fabric of your choosing. The machine also comes with a 25 year warranty and Brother promises future updates for the machine that will be launched periodically to ensure the SE400 lasts you for a long long time. Read my full review of the best sewing machine for embroidery here.

brotherXL2600I

Brother XL-2600i

The XL-2600i is a good alternative to consider if you’re in pursuit of a user friendly sewing machine that is perfect for a beginner to stretch their wings on. Other than being durable and easy to use, the XL-2600i really brings out the joy of sewing. As a beginner I always felt threading the needle to be a real pain. I am so thankful others wouldn’t have to go through the same thing. The automatic needle threader on the XL-2600i makes threading the needle a breeze

Nothing is perfect, the XL-2600i performed poorly when I used it on thicker fabrics. The simplest way to put this is that this sewing machine would only be suitable for those who plan to use it as training wheels. By no means can the XL-2600i handle fabrics as thick as denim.

So if you’re looking for a sewing machine that will be able to handle all types of fabrics you should check out the CS6000i. On the contrary, if all you want in a sewing machine is for it to be able to perform occasional patch work or some minor sewing projects and you’re a beginner the XL-2600i would surely serve you well until you are ready for a full-fledged more powerful sewing machine. Read my full review of this best sewing machine for kids here.

Best Embroidery Sewing Machine – Brother SE400

Posted on Updated on

My buddy Martha has a small boutique that does a lot of embroidery for their customers. She loved her Brother SE400 so much that she recommended I take her sewing machine home and try it out for myself. It turns out that this is the best embroidery sewing machine I’ve ever tried.
Brother SE400 Combination
Well Built

As usual, I started off by examining the exterior, this was a well built sewing machine. Martha said that she had been using it almost everyday for almost a year and still it looked relatively new. The sewing machine was kind of heavy but I still managed to carry it around the house.

Good Sewing Functions

I was then itching for a trial run. It was already threaded and ready for sewing so I grabbed my fabric and tried out a few stitch patterns. I used the LCD screen to select one of the 67-built in sewing stitches. It was remarkable how the LCD display information about each of the sewing stitches accurately. I am certain that the regular user or a master seamstress could easily use these stitches for everything that ranges from big projects to mending jobs.
1
The one click thread cutter also made things a lot faster. I no longer have to manually cut the thread of my top bobbin manually. It may appear to be a minor improvement but for those who have to constantly work with sewing machines, it is a big improvement.

Works on Thick Fabrics

Next, I scrolled through the embroidery stitches. I really wanted to see if the sewing machine could handle thick fabric. I selected a design then tried on a piece of leftover denim fabric I had lying around. Amazingly, the motor had no problem at all handling thicker fabric and the embroidered design came out perfectly. There were more than 100 patterns that I could choose from, I also noticed that I could even transfer patterns from my laptop using the USB cable that was supplied.
3
Thanks to Brother’s own signature software, you’ll be able to create your own embroidery designs much more quickly. When paired with the Brother SE400, your designs will materialize. This takes creativity to a whole new high. I’m not that good in designing so thanks to this software, I was also able to transfer designs that I got off the Internet. From experience, the site iBroidery had a lot of nice designs to choose from and all the designs I choose was easily transferred to the SE400.
2
A Long Term Sewing Machine

Both the 25 years warranty and the promise that the Brother SE400 will continue to receive future software updates makes this embroidery sewing machine an excellent decision if you plan to use it as your sewing machine in the long run. The automatic needle threader and the easy bobbin preparation also helps the machine stay in good shape.

The easy operation would also ensure you don’t accidentally cause your sewing machine to malfunction if you’re a beginner. The online manual was more than helpful when I looked it up.

Verdict

The Brother SE400 is a pretty neat machine that gives you the best embroidery features to work with so you’ll be able to let your creativity on the loose. You will also be able to transfer embroidery designs from your computer and periodically update the machines software. So in my books the Brother SE400 is a stellar deal. You can find it at a lower price here on Amazon.

Best Cheap Computerized Sewing Machine – Brother ES2000

Posted on Updated on

The Brother ES2000 is a simple computerized sewing machine that comes at an affordable price. In fact, it is the best computerized sewing machine you could get at this cheap price.
Brother ES2000
Cheap Price

Taking into account that most computerized sewing machines cost around $250, Brother played their cards right by pricing this model at a sub $200 price point which makes it one of the cheaper models of computerized sewing machines on the market.

Packs A Punch

The Brother ES2000 is a stellar sewing machine. It has 37 different stitches and 77 built-in stitch functions that will surely be ideal for anyone who wants to pick up sewing as a hobby.
buttonholes
Sadly if you’re looking to try out quilting and embroidery, skip this machine because the Brother ES2000 has no quilting and embroidery sewing settings. If you would like to try your hand at some quilting, you can look at the Brother CS6000I which is similar to this sewing machine but with extra quilting accessories.

User Friendly Manual

The manual is like a bible. Without a proper manual you’re bound to screw up big time. Thankfully this sewing machine came with a well designed manual. Not only does it have diagrams for threading, the instructions were printed on the sewing machine for easy reference. I’m sure a beginner could operate the Brother ES2000 by just referring to those diagrams.

With the right needle and presser foot you can even attempt tougher fabrics like denim with this sewing machine. Although light weight this machine is able to do denim work but I would recommend heavier sewing machines if you need to do thick fabrics often.
3
Paired together with quality components, despite being restricted by the type of sewing this machine will be able to perform, the Brother ES2000 is still a great bargain. So if you don’t mind not being able to sew quilt and perform embroidery, this cheap sewing machine is worth taking a look at.

Best Beginner Sewing Machine – Singer 7470 Confidence

Posted on Updated on

For a beginner, it’s best to get a grasp on basic sewing skills and techniques before moving into more complex stitch work like embroidering and quilting. Out of all the sewing machines I’ve tested out thus far, I’d honestly say the Singer 7470 Confidence is the best sewing machine for a beginner. It does not have a hefty price tag nor is it an overly complex computerized sewing machine. The Singer 7470 Confidence is a joy to use and portable enough to be carried around everywhere.
singer 7470

The Singer 7470 Confidence is super easy to use. In no time you’ll be able to master the art of sewing if you using this machine.

The thing I hated the most when I just started out sewing was adjusting the tension of each thread to suit whatever fabric I was using. It took me awhile to get the hang of it but it was a gruelling process. So there is a little way to cheat your way out of having to go through this.

Sleek Auto Tension Feature

Most sewing machines these days come with auto tension. This means you’d not even have to tweak or adjust the tension by tugging on the thread and turning the tension dials whenever you switch fabrics. Amazingly, this sewing machine with auto tension adaptively adjusts the tension of the thread to match the fabric thickness.

Speed Up Sewing With A Drop-in Bobbin

The drop in bobbin was a neat addition too. Compared to a front loading bobbin, the drop in bobbin saved me much more time. Rethreading was done in under 60 seconds. What more could a new user ask for.

threader
Graphic Manual and Easy Instruction

Singer also made a brilliant move including pictures in the manuals to help new users. There are visuals printed out so newbies wouldn’t have any trouble at all understanding how to use the Singer 7470 Confidence. There is even a section at the back of the booklet that explains key terminology from the sewing world.

I tried to ask my 12 year old daughter if she understood the booklet and she was spot on. So I’m sure almost anyone would be able to use this machine from reading the instructions alone.

A Little Bit Of Weight Never Hurt Anyone

The main misconception many newbies make is that heavy sewing machines are an inconvenience. I on the other hand am here to tell you that the heavier the better. The Singer 7470 is a portable sewing machine but it is slightly on the heavy side of sewing machines. It does take some energy to carry around but it performs well. Heavier machines out perform lighter machines in my book.
denim

Near Silent Operation

I hate how light machines click and clatter when I use them. Thankfully, I don’t have this problem when I use heavier sewing machines like the Singer 7470. The other benefit is heavier sewing machines do perform better on heavier thicker fabrics. There is more force to push the needle through these fabrics thanks to the heavy parts within the machine.

Absurd Reverse Stitching Setting

The Singer 7470 isn’t a perfect package. It does have some drawbacks. Aside from not being a computerized sewing machine, the reverse stitch settings were terrible. Who would ever want a sewing machine with a setting that requires you to keep your finger on a button until you’ve finished reverse stitching ? Well, you’d have to keep this in mind if you plan to purchase the Singer 7470 because it does just that.

Verdict

Aside from that small flaw, I really do feel that the Singer 7470 is indeed a very well built sewing machine. Even though the Singer 7470 was not designed for quilting and embroidery, you could still use the LCD display to select one of the few of the built-in stitches to try out quilting and embroidery if you’d like.

So for a beginner in the sewing world this is a versatile beginner sewing machine that you could use to test out most of the different types of sewing and stitches before moving on to a more complexed or advanced sewing machine.
